I stumbled across ekundayo's amazing art work the other day. He was inspired to draw when as a child he came across his uncles Graffiti 'black book' in the garage.
I love what is written in his bio about his work:
"He combines both subversive graffiti aesthetics in combination with art-historical erudition. Ekundayo's work expresses the struggle of life and how those struggles and burdens can either inspire us to change in a constructive way or way us down by our own inability to change"
His work is emotive and i find the images very powerful, disturbingly beautiful and thought provoking. ekundayo web site is definitely worth a look: funky tunes and ekundayo's full collection.
All pics are from ekundayo web site.
